Author: My sister has always been a little on the weird side. She dressed all Goth in high school and was very artistic. She chose her friends based on how wild their attire was, and even went so far as to forgo college and go to art school. This kind of backfired on her because she couldn’t get a job, so she started making homemade wedding favor boxes to supplement her income. She had a lot of lean years, but she has been steadily making more and more money. Recently she even got to the point where has enough cash flow to rent space in a shop downtown.
She sells all kinds of stuff so that people can throw wild weddings. From black starred table cloths and purple table shams to edible wedding favors, she has really turned her little niche operation into a growing business. She has a steady stream of clients and they always want her to make custom decorations. She was even able to finally hire an assistant. Things are looking up for her business, but the recession has taken its toll. I loaned her some money recently to help her out, but she’s still had to make a lot of cheap wedding favors to make ends meet.
