The overall sound is brighter and smoother by doing so. Another aspect of the strings to be considered during your search is gauge. Currently, there are two types of electric guitars.
One is a rhythm guitar and the other is called a lead guitar. If you are merely a beginner, it is advisable to look for gauge of ten in the case of a rhythm guitar. For a lead guitar, gauge of nine might be more suitable. Other than gauge, the string material is another aspect to be taken into account. Many people prefer nickel-plated steel strings rather than stainless steel ones even though they are more costly.
