Start out by giving them a budget for spending on clothes purchases. Let them know what your general expectations for their purchases are. Make your list very specific. If you’re expecting them to buy sleepwear and underwear, put it on the list. Both parents and children should have a clear idea of what they will be purchasing.

Give your child some time to look for clothing alone before you start shopping with them. And be sure to let them know that prices may vary from site to site. boys robes may be very expensive at one site, and deeply discounted at another.

Shopping at home together away from the distractions of the mall can be a lot of fund for parents and kids.
