For the Roman Catholics, both the Holy Communion and christening ceremonies are important ones. Therefore, not surprisingly, there are many styles, colors and materials of first communion dresses on the market these days.
Holy Communion represents the last supper of Jesus Christ on Earth, which comprises of bread and wine. Such a ceremony is a holy and solemn one. Therefore, many people prefer to wear white colored dresses or shades of white, beige or cream colored dresses for such an event. You can even buy toddler dresses of such colors these days.
Christening is another holy and symbolic event especially for the child or person who is being christened into the Roman Catholic faith. So, once again, white, cream, or shades of these colors are chosen for a christening event as well. Some people try to save money by using the same christening clothes for all their children.
